Prophecies Made Me a Believer

Prophecies Made Me a Believer:

The following prophesies concerning the return of a people, few in number, scattered throughout, imprisoned, tortured, murdered, and ridiculed. The Jewish people were given by God a particular land, and promised a total, complete restoration. Prophesied over 3000 years ago, throughout Scriptures by various writers, today these prophesy are being fulfilled right before our eyes.

The odds of all these prophesies’ coming to pass are astronomical. First the demise, then destruction, dispersion, slaughters, healing, return, and the original language = (Hebrew) again being spoken, the waste land again bringing forth its bounty of fruits and vegetables, the money = (shekel), the wars won over a vastly superior enemy both in number and weapons, the victories: the water supply again becoming abundant, and the list goes on.

Only through the one true God, Jesus Christ is this possible. Not like the gods of the enemies, gods that deliver failures, hunger, disease, poverty, divisions, defeats in war, bitterness, a burning hatred for both the Christian and Jewish communities, and a goal to completely exterminate the people of God. Why? Because they worship Satan, and this is why I believe.

Jewish people throughout history have always believed that they would eventually be restored to their land, and under the dominion of their Messiah, would again become an independent and glorious nation. After the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Jews, as a nation were dispossessed of their lands and driven into foreign countries.

In the expectation of someday returning, the Jews, by some Divine summons, never purchased any territory, neither did they engage in any significant amount of agricultural employment. But what they did do, was to become the brokers and bankers of others.

For example in England, the Jews were for many years the chief conductors of foreign trade, having worked and fashioned most of the gold and silver ornament for the churches. Because of the enterprise by the Jews, they were winked at by business men, and merchants who otherwise spurned them, The Jews were becoming invisible and blending in the places where business was done, because of their skillful dealings.

After the war in 1945, the prospects of the Jewish people brightened, hence, their condition rapidly improved in many parts of the world. Jews were extended the freedoms, and civil liberties of the Christian free world, thus slowly they were given back control of their lives and freedom. The nation of Israel was reborn in 1948 and has remained sovereign to this day. God’s end of time promises to Jewish people are just beginning and the first step was to return them to the land of promise.

This is the heart of the matter for me. Why do I believe God is and why is that Scripture God inspired. because no man can predict the future and be accurate in all its points. If but one of God’s predictions were incorrect, then God would not be God.

In most cases Biblical prophesy has come to pass, but the predictions of yet future events having not yet been completed, will soon be. The line has been draw, the enemies of God are gathering, and the final battle is close at hand. Before 1948, there were sceptics who gave a spiritual interpretation to the following passages, saying that they would be fulfilled in the conversion of the Jewish people to the Christian faith. These also stated that in no way would the Jews ever return to the ancient lands they once occupied. Well, history has laid that theory to rest, because the predictions by God have been and are being fulfilled now.

Many Christian writers and ancient Jews, especially those in Portugal, believed in the literal restoration of the Jewish people to their promised land, and the re-establishment of its people as a nation. The predictions can be found in the the Old Testament, and history has proven them to be correct. Deuteronomy, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, etc. were written well before the demise of the Jews, and the destruction of the Temple, and well before the restoration of the people to the land in 1948.

In support of these opinions, the following passages are allowed for verification as to God’s promises of restoration. The named enemies are the Muslim nations, northern nations, nations of the east, atheists, etc. The only remaining allies of the Jews today are the Christian community which God predicted back then, which is now our present time. When the church is raptured, those who will remain are the enemies of God. Christ will then be vindicated, for He said, “Vengeance is mine saith the Lord.”

Amos 9:14-15, “And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord they God.”

Since the Jewish people returned to the land, the land has flourished. They are one of only a few countries that can feed itself, and their exports are numerous to the European nations.

1. Deuteronomy 30:5, “The LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and He will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy father.” Israel is the Land of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

2. Ezekiel 36:23-32. “I = (God) will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen = (nations), which ye = (the Jews) have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen = (nations) and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.”

The fulfillment of the above began in 1948. From every part of the world, America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, the Jews have and still are coming to a free Israel. But more is yet to come.

Ezekiel 36:25 -32. “Then will I = (God) sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleanness and I will call for the corn = (grain) and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.”

Ezekiel 37:19-28, “Say unto them = (the Jews), Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. and the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.” (The 10 tribes, reunited with the two tribes or Judah and Benjamin will again become one. They may have been scattered for three thousand years, but God knows who they are, and where they were.}

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations = (the northern and southern tribes) neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, not with their detestable things, not with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them evermore.”

Isaiah 11:10-16, “in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, etc. —

And He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: —

Verse 16, “And there shall be an highway for the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.”

Jeremiah 23:6-8, “In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name whereby He shall be called, the Lord our Righteousness. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;”

Isaiah 66:20, “And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations — to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.”

Joel 3:1, “For behold, in those days, and in that time, then I shall bring again the captivity = (captives) of Judah and Jerusalem.”

Hosea 1:10-11, “Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured not numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves on head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.”

Romans 11, “Hath God cast away his people? God forbid = (certainly not). — God hath not cast away his people which He foreknew.” Ver.5, “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to election of grace.”

Verse 8, “God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear.”

Verse 11, “Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the gentiles, for to provoke them = (the Jews) to jealousy.”

Verse 15, “For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead.”

Verse 19, “the branches were broken off = (the Jews) that I = (the Gentiles) might be grafted in. Because of unbelief they were broken off, — For if God spared not the natural branches = (the Jews).”

Verse 23, “if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them = (the Jews) in again.”

Verse 25, “that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved.”

Like the Jewish people, Christians will one day be taken home to be with the Lord. We are not party to the ways of this world. Jesus said,

John 14:3, “I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

1 Thes.4:16-17, “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 15:52, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
