Prophesy Fulfilled

Prophesy Fulfilled

Prophet after prophet foretold of the dispersion of Israel into all Gentile nations and then told of their return to the land. The Bible is the only book that has dared to prophesy events that would occur hundreds and hundreds of years and in some cases thousands of years in the future. Ezek.12:27 wrote of prophesy “The vision that he sees is for many days to come, and he prophesied of the times that are far off.” And the Lord God said, Ver.25, I “will perform it.”

Hosea prophesied the Diaspora (deportation of the Jews) would last for 2000 years, Hosea 3:4-5; 5:15; 6:1-3, “After two days (2000) years will he revive us.”  Isa.11:10-16, It shall come to pass, the Lord, “shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left … and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

Those Jews who returned would have to buy back the land, Jer.32:44, “Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences and seal them, and take witness in the land of Benjamin and in the places about Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, — for I (the LORD) will cause their captivity to return.”

The once dead language of Hebrew would return as the official national language of the Jews, Zeph.3:9-10, “Then will I turn to the people a pure language (Hebrew), that they (the Jews) may all call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus Christ) to serve him with one accord.”

Israel would be reborn in a day; Isa.66:7-9, “Before she (Israel) travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child (Jesus.) Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? ———-.” This was fulfilled on May 14, 1948.

Isa 43:3-22, prophesied that the Jews would return to Israel in the following order: First they would come from the East (Middle East); then from the West (Europe); then from the North (Russia); and finally from the south (Ethiopia). The Jews return was in this exact order.

The cities of Israel would be renamed according to biblical names Ezek.36:11, 24.

The land that lay desolate for centuries would again become abundantly productive, Isa.27:6; 62:4, “You shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall your land any more be termed desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah (my delight) and your land Beulah (Married) for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married.”

Scientific irrigation would result in annual crop rotation, Amos 9:14, “They shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.” I believe Israel is only one of six nations that can support itself with its own agriculture.

It was prophesied that the barren mountains would be covered with many varieties of trees, Isa.41:19, “I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah (acacia) tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together.”

Vultures to return to await the Battle of Armageddon Isa.34:15, “There shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.”

Increased rainfall, both latter and former rains restored. Joel 2:23, “For He has given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.”

That in the last days, Jerusalem will be an international problem, Zech.12:2-3, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone to all people, all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

To restore Israel as a democracy with governors (the Knesset) Zech.12:5-6.

It was prophesied that a small Israeli army would win many amazing victories. In recent wars with the Arab nations, the Jews were outnumbered 50 or 60 to one yet they claimed victory after victory, Zech.12:6, “In that day will I make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left.”

Lastly Israel is to continue to have problems with the Edomites (the Palestinians) Amos 9:11-12, “In that day will I raise up the tabernacle (booth) of David that is fallen — I will build it as in the days of old: That they (the Jews) may possess the remnant of Edom.”
