Have We Lost Our Fear Of God?

Have We Lost Our Fear Of God?

Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:” Why was Paul not ashamed of the Gospel?

“For it (the gospel) is the power of God.” What purpose will it serve us?

“Unto salvation to every one that believeth.”

Have we, as a nation, and people lost our fear of God?

Have we lost our fear of His judgment? Is it because its been 2000 years since Jesus left us, and time has blurred His teachings, and His warnings?

After we have dealt with our own sin, are we not to point out the sins of others? Who can better teach others of their failings, than a person who had failed himself? But by the grace of God, a friend of God plucked them from the fire.

Are we not to then share this experience? Who better than one having lived in sin to explain to others the consequence of their continued sin against God, self, and neighbor? If we stand by and do, or say nothing will God not find us guilty of apathy, or of being ambiguous toward our representation of Him as Christian’s?

Jesus left us some 2000 years ago. He warned the Jews! They were rejected! The result was the destruction of the people, and their way of life. They had rejected morally, literally, and spiritually the word and the wisdom, and the warning of His judgments!

Have we American Christian’s fallen into Satan’s same trap?

Genesis 3:4, “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.”

Lets overlay the word woman with those who profess to be Christians.

And the serpent said unto those who profess to be Christian, Ye shall not surely die.”

I believe the church is now at the cross-roads. Are we about to step over that same line Adam and Eve stepped over, and fall into the same web the nation of Israel became entangled in? It’s not too late. Listen to your heart; hear what the Spirit has to say. To think this is not a war is to lay down your arms, and be overrun by the enemy.
