God’s Ambassador

A reader wrote, “As you can see by the last two quotes, I’m suggesting that Jesus is the Holy Spirit.”

Phil replies, “Thanks for taking the time to write your comments. But respectfully I have to disagree with the above statement you post. My reason follows, I will only post two.

Do you understand what an ambassador is? It is an official envoy, an agent of the highest rank who is the resident representative of the government, or person they represent. They are appointed, and sent for a special assignment.

Lets see if the Holy Spirit fills these qualifications.

John 15:26, “The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

He (the Holy Spirit) in the above is the 3ed person, sent by the Father in Jesus name.

Jesus goes on to say in, John 15:26, “When the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of me.”

John 16:7, “Nevertheless I (Jesus) tell you the truth; It is expedient for you (the apostles) that I go away: for if I go NOT away, the Comforter (Holy Spirit) will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.”

Why was He sent?

John 16:13, “When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:”

John 16:8 -11, “When He (the Holy Spirit) is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”

The following evidence has proven to me beyond a doubt that Jesus is not the Holy Spirit!

John 16:13, “He (the Holy Spirit) shall NOT speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall He speak.”

Ver.14, “He (the Holy Spirit) shall glorify me (Jesus Christ;) for He shall receive of me, and shall show it unto you.”

I have to rest my case on this evidence, and there is so much more that can be produced to show that Jesus is not the Holy Spirit. He does fulfill all the qualifications of an ambassador sent from the Father, and the Son.
