Atheism

What is an Atheist? In its strictest and proper sense it is one who does not believe in the existence of a God, or who owns no being superior to nature. The word is a compound of two terms, “a,” negative, and theos, “God,” meaning “Without God.”

1. A speculative Atheist is one who disbelieve in the existence of an infinite, intelligent, and moral agent.

2. A practical Atheist is one who confesses a Deity, and providence in words, but denies them in his life and actions.

The flood in Noah’s day, and confusion of languages at the tower of Babel, must have convinced any atheist of the day that there was a heavenly power, a Lord of both the universe and nature, and his to do with according to His own will, and pleasure.

Atheism was nourished among the philosophers of Greece, they having their own ideas concerning the creation of the world. The Greeks erected colleges of atheistic learning. At first they doubted, and then denied God as first cause. They denied the providence that governed nature’s laws, and mankind.

Rome made improvements concerning atheistic teachings.  Atheism towers over every heresy invented by man. It professes no religion, true or false. In respect to the earth, they claim it to be eternal and formed by a concourse of atoms. Whatever walks upon the earth has no soul, no morals: that Scriptures were forged, the worship of God is superstition, hell a fable, heaven a dream, our life is without providence, and our death without hope. Men are not to be counted more important than dogs, mules, or plants; this is the teaching of the glorious gospel of Atheist.

All the above seems to be a Frankenstein monster sown together by the mind of men. It is a horrible contradiction to all the evidence, all the powers of understanding, and the dictates of common sense. And those who do not hear the Creators voice, or see His proofs, are willfully deaf and blind; living in darkness. God is that eternal cause. All that can be seen and heard are the effect.

Here are two questions for atheist. Can an exploding star, the splitting of the Atom, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, boiling heat, or absolute cold produce life, conscience, joy, memory, love of music, a need for companionship, and a love for God?

Can even our brightest earthly Scientist, using the most modern tools, techniques,  inventions, and having the finances of the devil himself behind them, can any of them create life?

Even if the above can build towns, cities, financial markets, invent ways to fly, dig, they investigating everything from macro, to gigantic, what are these compared to the vast and amazing creation and fabric of the universe? They give credit to chance and a accidental concourse of the parts of matter, “Denying the God that created them.”
