Reason And Nature

Reason And Nature:

Science affirms on its own grounds that the visible universe had a beginning, as it also has its changes and a certain end. Its structural plan, its unity of purpose, intention, design, scheme and movement, show it to be the creation of a great Intelligence.

Harmony and law, all that makes science possible is the product of thought. And because of this, reason extracts from nature what reason has first put there! It appears the further science pushes back the beginning of the creation in theory, the more exalted and certain the truth becomes: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

The world is a system; it has a specific arrangement for all things, and a plan, therefore a foundation. But before the foundation, there was the Founder, and man was in the Creator’s thoughts as was the redeemed Church of our Lord when the world was not.

God’s thoughts rested with pleasure, satisfaction and gratification upon his soon to be mortal sons, and daughters whose “Names were written in the book of life from the foundation of the world.”

What an amazing statement!

Ephesians 1:4, “He has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”

From this statement Paul suggests that in the creation plan, the Creator had the purpose of redeeming grace in view.

Matthew 25:34, “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

We can conclude that God’s salvation for mankind lies as deep and mysterious, as remote from comprehension as does the creation itself.
