Divine Perfections Of Jesus Christ

Divine Perfections of Jesus Christ and think of the implications of the following revelation!

Colossians 2:9, “For in Him (Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.”

The Godhead meaning the Divine perfections, attributes, essence, and nature of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He who is the Word of God, is the Son of God, is the Son of man, absolute; for in Him dwell the fullness of all divine perfections.

Jesus Christ as a man, was not merely God-like, but in the fullest sense, the Almighty God.

In Revelation 1:8, He declares himself to be the Almighty.

1 Timothy 3:16, K.J.B. “God was manifest in the flesh, (and) justified in the Spirit.”

John 1:14, “And the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”

John 1:18, “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son (Jesus,) which is in the Bosom of the Father, he hath declared him (the Father.)”

Bosom meaning; He was embraced, cherished, the object of intimate care, and dearest affection of the Father. This was the relationship of the Father in heaven and His beloved Son.

Only Jesus can declare the Father, and so He did. As a teacher would to their students, He made known, unfolded, and revealed the Divine nature of the Father, who is in Him.

Isaiah 9:6-7, gives to us an overview of who the child born of a virgin would be. The government would be on His shoulders; He is to be called Wonderful; Counselor; the Mighty God; the everlasting Father; the Prince of Peace.” Jesus is the King who shall sit on the throne of King David, and rule forever in His Kingdom to come.

For this reason, we who are in Christ, and He in us, can trust in all He has proclaimed in the sacred word.

2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.”

Colossians 2:10, “We are complete in Him (Jesus,) which is the head of all principality and power.”

To be complete in Christ is to be filled, full, to abound in Him, absolute. Believers can fully participate in all the rich gifts of the Holy Spirit; and receive full communion of the whole church of God.
