Coming Judgment Day

Coming Judgment Day

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things done in the body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

Throughout time unjust sentences have been passed upon men. The guilty have been set free and the innocent sentenced, jailed or killed. This has been the demise of many Christians who have been marked, stigmatized and branded by those who hate God.

Law abiding Christians are looked upon as heretics for their stand against evolution, called seditious concerning abortion, criticized for speaking out against all unnatural life styles and as having no compassion for hardened criminals.

Why do Christians hold these views? Because they understand that God’s laws judge and condemn sinners. The world does not reject us, they reject the Gospel. Jesus said,

Matthew 7:6, “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend (tear) you.”

Solomon wrote, Ecclesiastes 3:16-17, “I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

The righteous have been and will continue to be wrongly judged. They will be questioned, accused, persecuted and at times jailed, tortured and killed.

God will say to those on His right hand, “For what purpose have they tormented and persecuted you?”

The answer shall be, “It was because we held to your words, and to our Christ. We remained steadfast in your covenants and for these things would we not perjure ourselves. Neither would we forsake or turn from you, we have remained fixed in the faith and in truth.”

Romans 14:12, “Every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

In the world governed by men, there is no comfort, no peace of mind, no place of refuge, no encouragement, or enlightenment. There is nothing to bring a Christian through, or lift them above the confusion or the emptiness of evil men, sin, and worldly intentions.

A day is coming when all causes, and all persons shall be judged: the rich and the poor, the strong and the feeble, young and the old, all will stand before Christ Jesus.

God will ask those on His left hand, “Why was all this innocent blood shed? Who shall I lay this charge to? Why did you bow a knee to the things of this world? Why did you forsake my ways, trampling under foot my Gospel? Why have so many lives been lost? was it for your pleasure, for pride, for glory, or for the sake of evil?”

There is a darkness that crushes and destroys, a darkness that lies deep in every mans’ heart and blackens the soul.

“Was it for this you falsely accused, condemned, and imprisoned? Was it for this you leveled cities, tore apart dreams, made women widows, and sacrificed the children to the gods of this world?”

Before the judgment seat of God, those who had been unjustly condemned will be absolved. On the other hand, those who have falsely accused innocent blood shall be sentenced with an everlasting, irrevocable sentence. The Judge will say to them,

Matthew 25:41, “Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Sin is ever pressing itself on the attention of men. The natural (fleshly) heart of man is out of harmony with God, and the world is a stage and scene for error, crime, and woe. In due time all the secret things shall be made known. Every hidden door shall be opened, every dark corner shall be lighted; every work, every deed, every thought will come before God. In that day there will be a time of recompense, than will the children of darkness be brought before the Light of the world.

Many believe themselves to be above God’s judgments. The bedfellows of sin are unwilling to give a reason for the motives that direct their actions. On the flip side, God’s people repent, believe, pray and cry for justice.

Revelation 6:10, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” The reply, “Rest yet for a little season.”

The Lord manifests His mercy, His patience, and His love, above all other works. But in that day of judgment, two sentences shall be passed.

The raptured children of God shall be lifted into heaven

Matthew 25:34, “Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

Then shall the dead in Christ be raised first, and those who remain shall meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we be with Him forever.

The King will then turn to the wicked and say, Matthew 22:13, “Bind them hand and foot, take them away, and cast them into outer darkness; where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Without delay, without hope, without remedy will the execution of this sentence be carried out. We can hear the cries coming from the deep darkness, “Lord have mercy on us.” The answer shall be, “It was mercy that I offered you for these many days, yet you refused it, now the day of mercy and grace are gone! The doors have been shut forever upon you.”

Christians have a more excellent Advocate then any that shall be against them. We must lay our sins, our course of action, and our promises in the balance, we must remain steadfast. The ears of mankind must not neglect to hear Christ’s offer of salvation. Regardless of obstacles or hazards set before us, prepare yourself for verbal, mental, physical punishment, tortures or even martyrdom. New killing fields await the faithful.

The master of the house said, go out, bring me the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Go out and compel them to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb and His bride.

If a man’s love for me is not greater than that for his family and friends, and if any shall not forsake all that he has, he cannot be my disciple.

The invitations have been sent out, all things have been made ready. The great supper of the Lamb is drawing near. Many will cast their invitations away as so much trash. The lust of the eyes, the desires of the flesh, gold and silver shall continue to draw away multitudes from Christ Jesus. Soon blindness will overtake them, the flesh will rot from its bones and their gold and silver will tarnish and return to the dust of the ground. “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.” For we live under the perspective of this world. Solomon calls it, “everything under the sun.”

Conclusion;

Ecclesiastes 1:13, “I give my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, “Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
