Messiah

What are your thought’s on the following?

1. Do you believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ?

2. Do you believe there is Creator, and by Him all things ere created?

3. Do you believe there is life after death?

4. Do you believe in hell?

5. Do you believe in the Salvation through the righteousness of Jesus Christ?

6. Do you believe in the Divine authority of the Scriptures?

7. Do you believe in the sovereignty of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

If you answered yes to all the above, you stand apart, separated from the world.

The word Messiah, in Hebrew, is Christ, or Christos, in Greek. It means the anointed one, Savior. The only Begotten Son, anointed of the Father, witnessed and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Christ or Messiah means, King, Priest, and Prophet.

Proverbs 8:23, “I (Wisdom) was set up = (anointed as King), from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever = (before) the earth was.”

Hebrews 4:14, “Seeing then that we (Christians) have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God.”

Only in the throne of heaven is the Father greater.

John 14:28, Jesus said, “I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”

The reason for Messiah’s coming:

Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Messiah-ship is the character, state and offices of the Savior.

How the Messiah-ship of Jesus is set-up.

Jesus is all things to all men. He Created, He maintains, He supplies, He saves, judges, heals, comforts, encourages, assists, etc., holding and fulfilling every office in the Creation.

Hebrews 5:9, “And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him.”

Hebrews 1:3, He upholds, “All things, by the word of His power.” The working and maintaining of the creation is upon His shoulders. He is that light that gives life.

There are those who say there is no God. When asked why, they respond, “Because I cannot see, touch, or hear Him. That is nothing but a cover up, the real reason is, they choose to love sin more then they choose to love their Creator.

The glory of God is shown to them in the complexity of the creation. To look at, and examine the work of an artist, even if dead, is evident that the artist was real and did live. The proof lies in the starting and finishing of their work.

Christians know there is a God, how, through the creation, through their conscience, through prayer, and through His Holy Spirit who teaches comforts and assists. Anyone having a sound mind can understand these things, and a wrong attitude will cause confusion.

Scriptures speak of those who have had direct contact with the Lord. This being a means by which He communicated His will. From Moses to John, we can read of these many encounters.

Because one has never seen gravity, does that mean it does not exist? You can prove gravity by dropping something to the floor, or go to an extreme and jump from a building. As you begin to fall, the stark reality of gravity will suddenly come face to face with you.

Try not to breath. In a few minutes, you will understand the hunger your body has for the oxygen in the air. Here is oxygen, a gas that you can not see or feel, yet without it you will die.

Because we can not look upon the person of God, that does not mean He does not exist? To say God does not exist, is to say that nothing can produce something; and that all that we are, came from something that never existed. And that nothing produced intelligence, feelings, emotions, thought, life, breath, the world and the universes.

It would take a great deal more faith to believe their is no God rather to than to believe in God. Without question there is an architect, designer, an engineer, a Supreme intellectual being and the proof is all around us.

So who and what is Messiah? And what does it mean to be the Messiah? The Messiah-ship of Jesus Christ is like the functioning of a company. It has its’ many branches, offices, titles, and jobs. From the top executive, to lowest stock boy, from stockholders to shipping, the Messiah-ship of Jesus is of the same structure and type.

Jesus is the owner of this world, He owns all of the shares.

Hebrews 1:2, The Father, “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son (Jesus) whom He (the Father) hath appointed heir (Jesus) of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.”

Revelation 1:8, Jesus said, “I am Alpha = (the beginning of all things) and Omega = (end of all things) —–“the Almighty = (absolute sovereign).”

Jesus is the President of the company called Christianity. He gives salvation, brings to it, grace, mercy, wisdom and understanding. From those He employs, He receives prayer, and grants requests. He takes into His employment new employ’s, those who will follow and obey the rules and respond to His words. He will dismiss those who disagree or brake His rules and laws. His demands are few, but He does require loyalty.

When Messiah came in the flesh, He took on the form of a servant. He executed with humility, the lowest of positions in His new found company. With much effort He finished the task. His efforts became the building blocks of the business He calls the body of Christ, the church.

It’s now the largest company in the world it is the church that Christ built, He being the chief corner-stone, this for the glory of His Father, Christ our King.

John 13:31, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of man glorified, and God (the Father) is glorified in Him.”

Jesus took on the office of the last sacrificial offering. That final offering was brought before the Father and accepted.

John 10:17, Jesus said, “I lay down my life, that I might take it again.”

Acts 8:32, He was, “Led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb (silent) before his shearer, (those who accused him) so opened he not His mouth.”

John 20:17, Jesus said, “I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”

After He rose and sat at the Father’s right hand, He sent to us, One that would guide us, comfort us, and light our way in a sin filled world. Messiah’s ambassador is the Holy Spirit, He is the vice-regent standing in for Him, it’s surely not the Pope who has hi-jacked this office.

John 16:13, Jesus is speaking of the Holy Spirit, “When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth = (the Gospel of Jesus): for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak:”

Because Jesus is “The truth,” (John 14:6) the Holy Spirit guides us, and speaks of Jesus Christ, and His saving gospel.

As our High Priest, Jesus brings His sacrifice on the cross and His shed blood to the throne of His Father. He presents them as the finished work of redemption for His new company and His servants.

Christ as High Priest is,

Hebrews 7:26, “Holy, harmless = (innocent) undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens.” High Priest, not for Himself, but for us.

Hebrews 7:25, As High Priest He, “Is able also to save them (us) —- that come unto God = (the Father) by Him, seeing He ever liveth = (lives forever) to make intercession for them (us).”

Messiah is our mediator before the throne of His Father. He mediates our position, pleading for us as belonging and being one of His.

1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God, = (the Father) and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

John 14:6, Jesus said, “No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus uses His sacrifice on the cross, and His blood as the tool for our salvation, this is sufficient with the Father.

Hebrews 9:12, “By His (Jesus) own blood he entered in once into the holy place, (the throne room of His Father in heaven) having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

Christ chooses to share His inheritance, with us. As stockholders = (sons and daughters) in His church, we will receive rewards for our faithfulness.

Colossians 1:24, “Ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you served the Lord.”

James 2:5, “Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and HEIRS of the kingdom which He hath promised to them that love Him?”

The Lamb of God shall return as, Revelation 19:16, “King of kings.”

He is the ultimate Supreme Court Judge. He shall judge those who are alive, and those who are dead.

Revelation 20:11-12-13-14, John writes, “I saw a great white throne, and Him = (Jesus) that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; —And I saw the dead, small and great = (all people, of all ranks, degrees, and of every condition), stand before God = (Jesus); —–and the dead were judged,——-and the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their works.”

Every person who has ever taken a breath, will be judged. They will be either punished, or rewarded, according to their works.

Messiah will rule forever. Satan, his fallen angels, the disciples of Satan, death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 22:3 and 5, “There will be no more curse = (sin): but the throne of God = (the Father) and of the Lamb = (Messiah) shall be in it (one throne;) and his servants = (the saved) shall serve him: —-the Lord giveth them = (the bride of Christ) light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
