Memorials To My Friends To my friend Wanda. Wanda. Some sixty years ago the seeds of a friendship were cast upon the ground. In the early years the seeds began to flourish. Certain relationships began to grow and blossom. I was fortunate to be one of these. From these early days, we have shared many thoughts, both happy and sad, good and bad. You brought with you a family and a lifetime of friends. Your sons and I have grown as brothers. Your family and their relationships with me have been true, your loyalties sure, and the sharing of our Christian faith has uniting us together forever. No one could ever hope for any surer or any more binding friendships than ours. Each of your sons brought forth their seed, and each in its own way has touched my life. Your strength has always amazed me. Your courage in the face of discouraging times is to be celebrated. From your family came to me a wife, and four children. From Bob and Teddy came their families and a lifetime of goodwill. Your families interests became my interests. We shared our stories and experiences. How many pots of coffee did we consume in the sharing of these experiences, dreams, hopes and disappointments? There were times when the pouring rains attempted to wash the seeds away, but the roots were deep and strong. The hand of the Lord gave to each of us courage and strength to weather these passing storms. The last snow has come to cover the field which you sowed. Its time for you to rest now. From the seed of your grandchildren will come new life, producing its own hopes, dreams and memories. Because we all share the same Lord and Saviour our separation will be for a short time only. Jesus Christ is our hope, and His promises are true. You rest now, for our eternal spring is near. Wanda you touched my life in every way, and like so few have. The most beautiful of roses has been taken from the garden. A lovely rose whose grace and beauty are beyond a poets words. The garden seems so empty now, but the place it occupies in heaven will be the better for our loss. There's no need to weep, for our rose brought much joy and pleasure to those who gazed upon it. Its beauty, its eloquence, it's fragrance, a blessing to all. The wondrous beauty of our rose came from within, giving the appearance of loveliness that no one would deny. We hear the sound of church bells ringing for our friend, the sun shines, yet the day seems gloomy. But listen, we hear a faint whisper in the breeze say, "not so, its such lovely day, be of good cheer for my absence is but for a short while." The Lord has prepared a place of honor for our rose. The sound of many voices can be heard singing in heaven as our beautiful rose is planted again, never to fade away. Shall we bid our rose farewell? Nay, not farewell, but good night. Our rose will live in our hearts and minds till the end of days. Thank you Nadine for your friendship, your conversations, your good will. You have blessed me forever. I will miss you greatly, for the memories of you shall be with me so long as I live. We shall meet again in glory, for that great day of the Lord is near.
