Never Coming To Knowledge. Never Coming To Knowldge The Greek word for, "never," is, "medepote." Its and adverb, and means, never, no never ever. 2 Tim.3:7, "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." Never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Certain church leaders, teachers and writers, exhibiting and penning a faithless model of godliness. They project an image of authority, excite in themselves high pitched rambling, arouse in others elevated emotions, yet exhibit nothing of the true power of the Holy Spirit working in them. False teachers, marked of men and not by God. Teaching vain words, never leading anyone to the truth. They teach not the gospel, for they never knew the gospel. Sermons preached without meditation, being heard without reflection, in this all derive little profit from God's ordinances. People empty of God's grace before they were Christian's, and years later, they are still empty of God's grace. They read and hear, but do not think. Hearers of the word that do not reduce what has been spoken to them to practice and action. These become excited on some new point for mere curiosities sake. They now degrade, and belittle what they appeared to have known and understood before. False teachers lacking God's perfect knowledge, perverting the church with their doctrines, calling into question the authority of the Gospel. As certain metals will not pass along an electrical current, so also are these. Their message is as a current attempting to be transmitted along a base metal. 2 Thes.2:9, "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders." Never do they come to the knowledge of faith. They are as magicians, skilled in their magic, tricksters attempting to mimic the work of the Holy Spirit. Those who attend their services, and hear their words, are as trees that bear no fruit, twice dead, needing to be taken up from the root. Matt.24:24, "There shall arise false Christ's, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Never can they prevail against the truth of God, for the Holy Spirit stands before them as a great wall stands against a sling-shot. In time the thing they fight will stand as judge and jury against them. God's Scriptures are the only rule of morals and doctrine that can with-stand them. Rom.1:28, "Even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient (fitting.) Man's folly: Will he never learn? They pit their wisdom against the wisdom of God. Wise do they think of themselves. Wherever the Scriptures are read, then mediated upon and put into action, false teaching can-not stand. Their false religions teachings fear the Scriptures because they are not from God. 2 Tim.2:16, "Shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." But they will proceed no further, for their is a limit beyond which they shall not be able to continue. Job 38:11, "Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed (must stop?)" Watch and be vigilant. Pray the Holy Spirit to lead you from the darkness of this world to the light of Jesus Christ. 1 Cor.4:5, "Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts."
