Lying

Lying

To willfully speak that which is contrary, or an unconformity to fact or truth of Scripture. This done with the intent to deceive. A lie is a denial by words, or SIGNS to which a certain Scriptural determinate meaning have been attached. Something said, taught, or done that is opposed to the true thoughts and intentions of Scripture.

A lie is a breach of promise, form those who address Biblical thoughts to others. And from a previous silence declaration made from within their hearts, have broken that promise, they knowing that truth is expected from them and give it not.

There are various kinds of lies.

1. Dangerous lies, are those which are spoken to hurt, or take advantage of family, friends or neighbors.

2. There are Lies of kindness, these are spoken for their own, or for a friends or neighbor's advantage.

3. The Ludicrous lie, is one that is spoken to mock or make fun of someone else, this done only for the sake of entertainment.

4. Lies against God and His word. Frauds of deception are those that give a false appearance of being inspired of God, but are forged. These are accomplished through counterfeit miracles and deceptions that can destroy a persons soul and spirit.

5. Lies done by the conduct of a persons actions as well as in their words. Example, when a home contractor has done a shoddy job for a customer, then refuses to answer their door, phone, or return calls.

6. Lies of omission. These are when an author or speaker, willfully omits what ought to be related to their readers, or hearers. If not willfully left out, when they do learn of the error, they will NOT admit to it.

7. In equivocation, or the use of words that may express a double meaning, when used. Liars and false teachers use this method with the intention of misleading others.

8. Also the keeping back of information is considered lying.

The evil and injustice of lying appears,

1. From its being a breach of the natural and universal right of mankind to the truth in the communication of speaking to others.

2. From its being a violation of God's sacred law,

a. Phil 4:8, "Brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest (noble) whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

2. Lev.19:11, "Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another."

3. Col.3:9, "Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds."

Speech; This act of communication was give to mankind by God as an instrument of knowledge, not of deceit. Given so as to communicate our thoughts, not to hide them.

Throughout history there were liars who had to forfeit their lives for the slander which spewed forth from their mouths against both man and God. If these are not caught today, they will be brought to justice in God's judgement day.

Lies have the tendency to isolate, or dissolve totally a body of Christians. Also to alienate Christians from the rest of the body of believers. In this, many are given over to the frauds, deceptions, signs, wonders and miracles of false teachers and liars.

The punishment of lying is tremendous. It will lead to the loss of one's credibility. It will bring forth hatred from those who have been deceived. And in time if done often enough, it will bring the teacher and their disciples to an eternal separation from God.

Rev.21:8, "All liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: this is the second death."

Rev.22:15, Outside God's new city Jerusalem, "Are dogs, (sexually immoral) and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a LIE."

Ps.101:7, God said, "He that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight."

This article is for those who bend their will toward men and not God. Those who are careless in their teaching. Those who reject the true meaning of the Hebrew and Greek words, those who say they are not important. They transplant their your own meaning to words, and their own thoughts to certain phrases and verses.

The twisterss of Scriptures, the spin artist, the blatant liars, those who follow false practices and teachings, their final destination has been determined by God.

Whatever your thoughts are on this subject, God's warning is to remain in the truth, pull back before its to late from the deceiving lies of men.

"Believe not every spirit, but try (test) the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

Thank you,

Phillip LaSpino
