NEW ARTICLES

Are the Scripture's God's word?

Is the whole of Scriptures the word of God, and inspired of God? Some say no, some say only in part, others (me included) say all of the Bible is inspired of God.

If someone were to believe that only 50, 60 or 70% of the Bible is God breathed, then they have made themself 30 to 50% lord of their own life. In these things God has no influence over them.

Those who deny the infallibility of Scripture say the Bible contradicts itselves in certain areas, they using various forms of twisted logic to prove their words. What they may not understand in the Bible they term a contradiction or impossible, not allowing for God's foreknowledge, miracles or sovereign power to change even the natural laws of physics which He created.

Some may say that the Devil may even be an ambassador of God, or that Jesus is both Christ and anti-christ. Truth in their mind has become subjective illusions. They begin to speak non-sense, using misrepresentation, deceit, or various forms of hocus-pocus as a weapon against the truth.

A person may say, "The Scriptures are not God's word." In this comment, they have said something about their personal beliefs, but have given no evidence as to the truth of their statement.

Lying is to willfully speak that which is contrary to both fact and truth, this being done with the intent to deceive. A lie is a denial by words of certain Scriptural determinate meanings and is opposed to true thought and the intention of Scripture.

Its a breach of promise to those who have in the past, and who now address the truth of Biblical doctrines.

This article will address the lies against God and His word that now flood the networks and airways. These disciples of fraud and deception, give a false appearance of having been inspired of God. In this they forge teachings to satisfy self, and the prince of this world. Their lies may be accomplished through words, counterfeit miracles and other deceptions that can destroy the soul and spirit of those they influence.

False teachers elevate to a science the lies of omission. Authors, teachers, and speakers, willfully skipping over what ought to be related to their readers, and listeners.

These have mastered to an art form, equivocation, meaning the use of words that may express a double meaning, this with the idea of misleading.

They intentionally withhold any truthful information that will contradict their false teachings.

The evil and injustice of lying is a breach of the natural and universal right of mankind to receive the truth of who the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are; what is expected of us as Christians', and a violation of God's sacred commandments and laws,

Lev.19:11, "Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another."

Col.3:9, "Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds."

Phil 4:8, "Brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest (noble) whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

Communication was give to man by God as a means of sharing and gaining knowledge; not to mislead. Its a gift given to make known and to transmit our thoughts to others, not to hide the truth.

Lies have the tendency to isolate, dilute or even dissolve a body of Christians. They will alienate individuals from the rest of the body of believers. Large groups are then given over to the frauds, deceptions, signs, wonders and miracles of false teachers and liars.

The punishment for liars in this life is their credibility, it bringing forth a hatred from those who have been deceived, and in time will bring to them an eternal separation from God.

Ps.101:7, God said, "He that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight."

Rev.21:8, "All liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: this is the second death."

Rev.22:15, Outside God's new city Jerusalem, "Are dogs, (sexually immoral) and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a LIE."

This article is intended to expose those who bend their will toward men. Those who are careless in their teaching, rejecting the true meaning of Hebrew and Greek words that mark the Scriptures, and the working of God's Holy Spirit in us. They transplant their your own meaning to words, and their personal opinions to certain phrases and verses.

Spin artists, twisting, bending and indulging in false instruction and practices.

God's warning is to remain in the truth, pull back before its to late from the deceiving lies of men.

1 John 4:1, "Believe not every spirit, but try (test) the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

Many souls now swim in the sea of absurdity. Absurdities that work because the authors have learned to write and speak with authority. Even the smallest of lies hidden in the truth, will in time spoil the whole truth.

Phil LaSpino www.seekfirstwisdom.com

A reader wrote, "I have often quoted, "Fear not...have no fear...why do you fear...be not afraid."

In Rev 21:8 in the KJV it states, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers....shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire.."

Why is fear being equated with murderers? Is fear, then, a sin? A pretty darned big sin? What does this all mean?

Phil wrote,

"The answer to your question, lies in the meaning of the Greek word "Fearful." This word is used in only 3 verses of the N.T.

We all have a natural apprehension when danger approaches. But as we read in Matt.8:26, and Mark 4:40, the disciples fear was caused because of their unbelief. Jesus first removes the danger from them, then levels his rebuke against them. After His rebuke Jesus said to them, "How is it that ye have no faith?" He said in Luke, "Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?"

True faith in Christ will drive away fear, but only in proportion to its strength. When we apply this to Rev.21:8, it is those who, for the fear of losing their life, or property refuse to receive Jesus Christ though convinced of His truth, even if this fear comes in a time of persecution.

So when we apply this truth to Rev.21:8, it can better be understood. In God's eyes, this unbelief or fearfulness is the same as murder and idolatry, liars, etc. All will all lead a person to the same place, the lake of fire.

Rev.21:8, These, "shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." I hope this helps you,

Phil LaSpino

THINK ABOUT THIS

DO YOU THINK OF THE LORD AS SOME KIND OF MONUMENT? A MONUMENT TO LAY YOUR SELFISH REQUESTS, YOUR UNREPENTANT SINS, AND YOUR SELF INFLICTED PROBLEMS? IF YOU DO, YOUR IN THE WRONG BUILDING.

ONE DAY WHEN YOU HAVE FAILED YOURSELF, WILL YOU NOW JUDGE YOURSELF AS YOU WOULD OTHERS?

A MAN ASKED ME, "WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO LOOK AT JESUS?" I REPLIED, "THERE IS AN UNUSUAL BUT SIMPLE WAY TO LOOK AT JESUS CHRIST, IT'S THROUGH THE EYES OF FAITH."

A MAN SAID TO ME THE OTHER DAY, "I HAVE NEVER LET MY DUTIES TO GOD INTERFERER WITH MY PLEASURES."

THANKS

God Bless each and every one of those who have taken time to visit this site.

Special thanks to the following people who dedicated their time, efforts and lives to give the honor and glory to God, our Saviour.

Thanks to the men and women that host this web-site, www.ourchurch.com (OCC).

They, with their time, money and effort have purchased the fields, so workers like myself can plant the seeds of salvation. This is truly a team effort, one body, one purpose, one Head. Also where others in the past have sown, we participate in that harvest.

Without their inspiration and guidance, this web-site would not have come about. I am just a worker and soldier for the Lord.

Listed below are some of the authors, preachers and teachers. In writing their works, they have spent countless hours in putting forth these invaluable refrence materials. Whether I may agree or disagree with their work, I sincerely appreciate the amount of time and effort they took to try to get their point of view into our hands through these great books.

To know and understand why teachings vary, is important. To understand the reasoning behind these differences is also important. I examine the materials for myself, do further research, compare notes, and then write my own conclusions. Thanks to:
