Way Of Salvation

of Salvation:

The way of salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ. Our experience throughout the ages has not been the same for all. Following are a few differences between the Jew, and the Christian.

1. The ancient Jews could look forward only with a very imperfect knowledge for their coming Messiah, as where Christian’s are privileged to rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ, by faith alone.

2. Throughout the Old Testament period, the Holy Spirits work was authoritatively directed. In the period of grace, the church age, the Holy Spirit permanently indwells every believer.

3. The Jews by blood were citizens of God’s covenant nation Israel. The life of the church is united by the Holy Spirit into one body, having one head, Jesus Christ.

4. Israel’s blessings were earthly blessings tied to the Promised Land. The blessings of the Church are spiritual, whose promise is heaven.

5. The promises to the Jews were prophetic; they reached far into the future; promises concerning the coming of their Messiah. The Christian is identified with Messiah in His death, His resurrection, and are all seated in spirit with Him in heaven.

John 10:10, Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Concerning our position, Christian believers are in the place of abundant life.
