Never Coming To Knowledge

2 Timothy 3:7,  “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Never able to come to the knowledge of the truth! In these later days, religion is exhibiting, and penning a faithless model of godliness; projecting an image of improper authority; exciting others to a high pitched rambling noise; arousing in others, elevated emotions; yet exhibiting nothing of the true power of the Holy Spirit working in them.

False teachers, men marked, and sent by other men, and not by God. Preaching vain words, never leading anyone to the truth; they teaching another gospel; for they themselves never understood the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sermons preached without meditation; then heard without reflection, words that derive little profit to those who hear them.

They read and hear, but do not think. Hearers that do not reduce what has been read to practice and action will become excited on some new point or teaching if from curiosities alone. In this, the fundamentals become clouded, and confused.

False teachers lacking God’s perfect knowledge; then perverting the church with their teachings, calling into question the authority of the Gospel. As certain metals will NOT pass along an electrical current, so also are these. Their message is as a current attempting to be transmitted along a base metal.

2 Thessalonians 2:9,  “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.”

Never do they come to the knowledge of faith.  They are as magicians, skilled in their magic; tricksters attempting to mimic the work of the Holy Spirit.  Those who attend their services, and hear their words, will become as trees that bear no fruit, twice dead, needing to be taken up from the root.

Matthew 24:24,  “There shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Never can these prevail against the truth of God, nor can they stand before the Holy Spirit. In time, the thing they fight will stand as judge against them.  God’s Scriptures are the rule, for both morals, and doctrine.

Romans 1:28, “Even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient (fitting.)

Man’s folly, will he never learn?  They pit their wisdom against the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1:25, “The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”

Wherever the Scriptures are read, then mediated upon and put into action, false teaching can-not stand.

2 Timothy 2:16, “Shun profane and vain babbling: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

History has shown, these soon die in their own time, from the very poison they intended for others destroys them.

Job 38:11, “Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed (must stop?)”

Watch, be vigilant; pray the Holy Spirit to lead you from the darkness of this world to the light of Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 4:5, “Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts.”

Theirs is as filthy rags; but the people of God have been clothed with the white raiment of our Lord from heaven.
